Physics Today was created in 1948 by the Americam Institute of Physics, with the mission of contributing to the “unification of physics”, overcoming conceptual, institutional and communicative distances between its different areas of physics, and bringing science and society closer, promoting a space for understanding and dialogue between physicists, scientists from other areas and the public. From the beginning, the magazine proved to be plural, addressing a wide range of subjects related to science. Obviously, physics articles were in the majority, but areas such as philosophy of science, history of science, scientific education and the relationship between science and society would also be privileged. In this brief article, we quantitatively emphasize the growth of publications in the field of medical physics on the pages of Physics Today, with the decade between 2007 and 2016 as a historical clipping.
