This paper provides an overview of everyday environmental factors with a non-zero probability of a delayed lethal effect, according to the author's systematization. Several groups are distinguished: harmful organic compounds, harmful external influences, and harmful additives. The review is aimed at the actual detection of these factors under domestic conditions: where, in what form, and in what quantity their presence has been recorded in the literature. For organic compounds, the pathways and numerical data on the formation of volatile organic compounds, aldehydes, acrylamide, and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are considered during heating (Maillard reaction, thermal oxidation, pyrolysis), under the action of household oxidizing agents (sodium hypochlorite, ozone), and at room temperature. Data are presented on VOC emission from paints, adhesives, varnishes, metalworking fluids, 3D printing processes, and particleboard. Data are presented for external influences such as UV and ionizing radiation. Literature data are shown for structural additives such as nickel, vanadium, cobalt, fiberglass, and asbestos. For hexavalent chromium, the conditions of its formation at high temperatures are given. For the remaining additives, the recorded concentrations and detection frequencies are as follows: nitrosamines, polychlorinated biphenyls, bisphenol-A, phthalates, and brominated flame retardants.
