Understanding the dynamics of landscapes in transition areas is currently a central challenge for environmental management. In this context, this research proposes the spatial delimitation and characterization of the environmental systems in the Northern Mesoregion of Minas Gerais. The methodology integrates multiple geobiophysical variables through advanced geoprocessing techniques, allowing the spatialization of landscape units. The analysis highlights the region's significant physiographic diversity and its systemic interactions. The unprecedented mapping generated consolidates itself not only as an instrument for reading local geophysical evolution but, above all, as strategic support for conservation policies, vulnerability mitigation, and territorial planning in northern Minas Gerais.
