The scope of this text is to discuss points of intersection between the works of Autran Dourado and Silviano Santiago, based on their formative paths and elective affinities. The configuration of the street in the works under study is taken as a core image, viewed as a place of diversity and encounter in both its literal and metaphorical senses.
