The article analyzes the space-time changes in the coverage and land use and occupation from Igarapé Santos watershed through digital classification. The methodology followed the following steps: vector data acquisition and data processing and the pedology, geology and geomorphology maps; degraded areas evaluation in the basin perimeter, including maps class data (1990 to 2020) and the anthropic evolution over the periods (weighted overlapping of maps class). The urbanized area gradually increased in the analyzed years, highlighting the landscape heterogeneity. The use and cover land dynamic are based on the urbanized areas consolidation, since the urban area increased in size, remaining only small fragmented mosaics of forest vegetation. In rural areas, it was observed a progressive increase in native forest areas, reflecting the municipal public policies compliance provided in the Environment and Natural Resources Municipal Policy.
