The article seeks to identify the global distribution of health economic-industrial complexes based on the framework proposed by Carlos Gadelha. Its scope is limited to the technical and productive structure of these complexes and does not encompass national health systems in their entirety. To this end, the analysis is organized around three main analytical axes: the flows of productive inputs that make up these complexes, the corporate topology of major pharmaceutical and medical technology (medtech) companies, and innovation indicators, including technology parks, clusters, and patents. Finally, the article establishes a relationship between health economic-industrial complexes and the spatial production circuits of health. The result is an analytical framework that makes it possible to identify the varying degrees to which these complexes are consolidated across different territories, without seeking to establish a ranking or provide an exhaustive classification.
