This article provides guidance on the principles of research in visual arts, establishing a dialogue between the Western philosophical tradition and the dimensions of contemporary creation. The central objective is to position the recognition of the idea and logical reasoning as essential attributes of the creative process in academic inquiry. The methodology is based on the articulation between theory and studio practice, employing the abductive method to mediate sensitive experience and scientific narrative. The text proposes a transdisciplinary approach in which artistic making generates poetic results and aesthetic experience as constructs for knowledge. It concludes that arts research promotes the reinvention of conduct and the reclamation of human experience in the face of contemporary issues.
