This work is contextualized by studying the concepts and relationships between the terms "policy," "management," and "organization" in pedagogical work in higher education, and their relationship with University Pedagogy, as an implicit and intrinsic tangential term. To this end, a bibliographic search was conducted on the Scielo portal, based on keying results of the terms cited in an analysis of publications in Portuguese between 2013 and 2023. The analysis identified gaps in the interconnection of various terms and concepts. Through the study of these concepts and the references that precede them, it was possible to establish interdependent relationships between the political and epistemological frameworks translated through institutional management that encompasses a complex and plural system of academic-pedagogical organization. In this context, University Pedagogy acts as a fundamental element in promoting reflection and change based on the focus on the educational process and the social commitment of the university.
