This article aims to present a proposal for academic writing for students in the Civil Construction field. From this perspective, the research question is: "To what extent does an academic writing proposal for students in the Construction Control program lead to the development of scientific and technological research?" The student education construct is based on the triad of teaching, research, and extension, and research activities are fundamental in the context of technological education. The methodology is qualitative, participatory research, and action research, and the method is observation, in which the researcher is also a teacher of the course "Fundamentals of Reading and Text Production." The texts produced represent the students' learning journey and the object of study. The article presents three sections. Section 1 presents studies on literacies and multiliteracies; Section 2 presents Freire and educational practice; and Section 3 presents academic writing in Vocational and Technological Education. This section also highlights the research methodology, expected results, and discussion. The theoretical framework is Bakhtin (1992); Freire (1987; 1997); Cope; Kalantzis (2023); Good Luck (2024); Severino (2013); Sánchez-Gamboa (2013); Abreu et al. (2020).
