This study aimed to evaluate the correlation between the pre-test probability of MND and the post-ENMG diagnostic confirmation in a reference service in the Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba region of Minas Gerais state, in Brazil, seeking to analyse the accuracy of clinical suspicion as a main tracking tool for the cases. We also aimed to quantify the incidence of MND in the context of an Electroneuromyography laboratoy / Neuromuscular clinic and discuss the role of the Gold Coast diagnostic criteria compared to the earliar El Escorial and Awaji criterias 5-10.
