Educational didactics play a crucial role in developing communicative competencies among students whose native languages differ from Spanish, particularly within the Peruvian context. This study analyses the development of communicative competencies through the didactic method of back translation, applied in bilingual secondary-level educational institutions in the town of “Andahuaylas”, Department of Apurímac, Peru. The research is grounded in the constructivist paradigm and adopts an intercultural approach to education. Using a quasi-experimental, exploratory, and analytical design, the study involved a sample of 170 students. The findings indicate that the back translation method has a positive impact on the development and consolidation of students' writing and communicative skills. Low to moderate correlations were observed between the reference indicators used in the study—specifically, the translation of words, phrases, sentences, and texts.
