Último retrato is a song with music by Dinorá de Carvalho and poetry by Maria Antonia whose musical documentary sources had not been located until 2023. The specific objectives are: to contextualize the creation of this song in its chamber and orchestral versions; to report the musical documentary sources location; to comment on the compositional strategy employed; and to publish the score edition in its chamber version. The methodology used to analyze the song creation was Documentary Analysis. The score critical edition used the methodology of the copy-text. As a final result, the musical edition of Último Retrato was created in its chamber and orchestral versions. In addition, analytical comments were made regarding the song and its orchestration. It is also expected that there will be artistic and academic dissemination of this compositional and poetic production made by authors little studied in the academic environment of Brazilian music and literature.
