This article is the result of a master's research study on the educational trajectory of a group of adolescents serving a socio-educational measure of Assisted Freedom (LA). Through this study, it was possible to engage with the schools they were enrolled in, across three different educational regions in the Federal District (DF). This interaction highlighted the need to examine the type of schooling provided to students in the DF. The objective is to understand the kind of schools they had access to, allowing for an assessment of the impact on the quality of education offered. To achieve this, we conducted a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews with 16 schools. The research findings indicate that the education provided to students in the DF has been undergoing a process of deterioration, from ineffective public policy proposals to the realities within schools, including professionals' perspectives on the students they serve and the lack of training to fulfill their social role.
