Educational intervention about reproductive health in adolescents with preconceptional risk

Abstract

Introduction: the preconceptional period constitutes a strategic moment for the modification of problems of health, and to detect risk factors.
Objective: to implement a strategy of educational intervention about reproductive preconceptional risk in adolescents.
Method: cuasi-experimental study, of educational intervention in the clinic 16, area of health "Romárico Oro Peña", January-June, 2022. Universe: 54 adolescents; sample: 17 with reproductive preconceptional risk. Variables were studied: social-demography, family function, risk factors and knowledge. The investigation was carried out in three stages: diagnostic, intervention and evaluation. The information was obtained through a survey, applied before and after the intervention, it was analyzed through the percentage calculation.
Results: it prevailed: the group of 16 to 19 years, with low education, married and divorced, students, of dysfunction families, with personal antecedents: 82,4% uses birth-control methods, 76,5% has suffered infection of sexual transmission, 70,6% suffers chronic illness, 64,7% had induced miscarriage, 41,2% adolescent mother; repetition abortion (23,5%), bronchial asthma (29,4%), low economic level (82,4%). Before the intervention in 58,8% and 29,4% the knowledge was evaluated of bad and regular, after the intervention it diminished the evaluation of regulating (23,5%), and bad (5,9%), and it was increased to well (52,9%) and excellent (17,6%).
Conclusions: it was possible to increase the knowledge about the preconceptional risk, about risk factor, adolescent pregnancy and sexuality.
