Abstract

The article examines Wikipedia and its automation processes. This non-profit encyclopedia stands out for its governance model, which involves organizations and local communities. Since its inception, Wikipedia has implemented bots to ensure project sustainability and encourage volunteer participation. Over the past decade, it has actively promoted the use of machine learning techniques and artificial intelligence applications. The study is based on secondary sources and data collected from the platform, employing a research-action approach. The conclusions critically address the integration of this project into the current media ecosystem.
