Permanent Health Education (PHE) is a strategy of the Unified Health System (UHS) aimed at the continuous training of professionals within their work contexts to achieve better health outcomes and promote institutional transformations. It adopts principles such as meaningful learning and the appreciation of professionals' knowledge. At the Psychosocial Care Center (PCC) Alcohol and Drugs II Mooca, the Violence Prevention Unit (VPU) develops PHE actions focused on self-inflicted violence. This article aims to present a synthesis of the situational diagnosis of PHE actions conducted by the VPU at PCC Alcohol and Drugs II Mooca, aimed at improving the multidisciplinary team's ability to care for users at risk of or with a history of self-inflicted violence. This is a qualitative and exploratory research study, with data collected through semi-structured interviews and an analysis of the minutes from the VPU's internal meetings. The data were analyzed using the content analysis technique in its thematic modality. The results indicated that the situational diagnosis is a tool capable of supporting the development of educational proposals, which, in this research, resulted in the creation of a professional training course to enhance the multidisciplinary team's care for users at risk of or with a history of self-inflicted violence.
