The objective of the report was to determine if the proposal to improve operations management will reduce production costs in a baking company in Nuevo Chimbote, 2024. To achieve this objective, the current state of the company was diagnosed using the causal diagram. effect (Ishikawa). Where critical areas were identified throughout the production chain related to the quality of materials, standardized processes, machinery and personnel training. It was proposed to implement strategies such as a continuous training system with emphasis on the
optimal use of raw materials to reduce waste, standardization of processes, search for new suppliers that offer better prices; and a continuous improvement system was also suggested with the PDCA cycle. After the implementation of these strategies, production costs were reduced by 10%, which represents a saving of S/.3,462.73, this optimization contributed to the reduction of production costs to S/ 27,753.66. These results confirm that the proposed improvement in operations management not only achieves the objective of reducing costs, but also strengthens the profitability and competitiveness of the company in the market.
