Permanent professional training is transcendental in the development of skills of Peruvian teachers, because it not only improves their work performance, but also promotes learning achievements, effective school management and organizational productivity-profitability. The objective of the research carried out was to determine the level of implementation and knowledge of continuing professional training as a human right to work in the Peruvian teaching profession and its particularities in the public and private sectors. The methodology was a mixed approach, type of basic and socio-legal research, with a descriptive-comparative and concurrent design, the sample was 306 teachers and 16 legal labor standards. The findings indicate that the implementation of permanent professional training as a human right to work is not very favorable, evident in 35.0% of teachers who value it in the process and 35.6% who value it at the beginning; Furthermore, the level of teachers' knowledge of said training as a human right to work is unfavorable, reflected in 23.2% who are at the acceptable level and 45.4% who are at the unsatisfactory level; Likewise, with the 0.273 bilateral significance it is demonstrated that the difference is not significant in the level of implementation and knowledge of continuing professional training as a human right to work between public and private teachers.
