The participation of children and adolescents in wars and armed conflicts is a problem that permanently challenges contemporary societies and even more so Colombian society, because despite the fact that the concept of modern childhood has permeated almost all areas of daily life, the recruitment of minors is still a reality. In this essay, some considerations about the conceptions in different times about boys and girls are presented, in order to clean up the ways in which childhood was conceived and how it is conceived today
