AN ANALYSIS FROM ENADE’S DATA (2005-2017)

Abstract

This article presents a documentary study that aims to analyze the profile of undergraduate students in Mathematics, taking into account the date from the Mathematics Enade, from 2005 to 2017. Based on the content analysis, an inventory composed of five elements was created textual, which were treated and analyzed through two classifications (categories).Therefore, it was sought in its five editions - 2005, 2008, 2011, 2014 and 2017 – to show, under the theoretical lens of the studies of Gender an Mathematical Education, which is the profile of the woman who was inserting in the referred course, taking into account it counts the amount, age, color/race/ethnicity, parental education (mother and father) and type of course completed in high school. The results of this research indicate that the Enade Reports adopt the concepts of “gender” and “sex” as synonyms. In addition, they also point out that, there is a predominance of white women in the courses, with an average age of 18 years to 24 years, with few financial resources and, finally, with parents (mother and father) schooled up to the Early Years of Elementary School.
