Education before the advance of COVID-19 in Paraguay.Comparative with countries of the Triple Frontie

Abstract

The advance of COVID in Paraguay and in the world has caused a change in the routine of the affected countries. It has also generated a change in the policy of the modality of education. This study addresses a current pandemic event by looking at the countries of the Triple Border: Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil with the aim of describing the measures taken by each government in relation to education. It is a comparative, historical-hermeneutical study, with an epidemiological focus. The one-month impact of the first positive case by COVID-19 in Paraguay is analyzed. Periodicals, laws and the antecedent of the 1918 pandemic have been used. The result shown shows that the necessary measures have been taken to avoid missing the school year, but this has brought to light important aspects to improve for teaching distance learning, use of virtual learning environments.
