The article portrays the university experience as an act of resistance, a battlefield in which dreams and necessity clash daily. A product of qualitative research and dialectical analysis, developed in a community higher education institution, it used questionnaires and focus groups to give shape and voice to the trajectories of Health Sciences students who juggle work and study. Beyond individual testimonies, the stories collected present themselves as mirrors of a system that perpetuates inequalities. Learning takes place in the intervals between overlapping needs, in the minutes snatched from a journey that never ends. Resistance consists of transforming the university space, subverting its logic and becoming a present body.
