Occupational risks and job performance

Abstract

Objective: Identify the relationship between occupational risk and job performance. Method: quantitative approach, correlational descriptive level. The sample was the same as the population: 100 graduates and 90 nursing technicians, two questionnaires were applied: occupational hazards and job performance. Results: 89.5% were women, older than 40 years (74.8%), a significant association was found between work performance and biological risk (p=0.034), work performance and physical risk (p<0.001), work performance and ergonomic risk (p=0.021), finally, work performance and psychosocial risk (p=0.003) and with work stress (p=0.009), with no significant association between work performance and chemical risk (p=0.104>0.05). Conclusions: Occupational risk is related to work performance in the context of COVID-19, and these risks are: physical, ergonomic and psychosocial risk.
